Our 87-square-metre flat is ideal – we only let it to nice people for stays of one week or more – for anyone interested in the city of Athens, which is heavily frequented by tourists, but who also appreciates authentic life in a neighbourhood that has developed organically over time. Just a few streets away is a traditional, spacious and inviting pedestrian zone, lined with trees and fountains and featuring many cafés, restaurants and small shops. The weekly market with fresh produce stretches right up to the door. Beyond the tourist strip, Athens’ vibrant life awaits, offering a different kind of experience.

We have designed our home in Athens for our family in the way we envisage our everyday life. Each of our two bedrooms, which have extremely comfortable beds, has a small desk, as the four of us need some undisturbed time at the computer from time to time for our work.

We’ve always met up in a kitchen or a kitchen-diner, as we all love cooking and enjoy having company whilst doing so. Two quiet corners and a large communal living area – where you can also lounge about on the sofa – perfectly embody our vision of joyful togetherness. And even during a whole week in Athens, there might just be that one day when you fancy enjoying some cosy time together at home or switching off with your favourite TV series.
